We are excited to invite you to hear our Worship Pastor Jody McBrayer in concert to wrap up a great Friends and Family Day.

A little about Jody:
For twelve years, Jody McBrayer was one of the four singers that comprised the Christian music powerhouse, Avalon. Avalon sold over 4 million albums, landed twenty one #1 singles, earn four gold records, took home six Dove Awards and even scored three GRAMMY Award nominations as well as a huge American Music Award win in the "Favorite Artist" category for Contemporary Inspirational Artist.

After an 8 year hiatus, Jody is back doing music, full time. He now travels all over the world as a musical arranger, worship leader and performer. He is 1/3 of the new trio, Cana’s Voice with TaRanda Greene and Doug Anderson. Just recently, Jody signed a new recording contract with StowTown Records giving him the opportunity to record two, new solo projects in addition to his efforts with Cana’s Voice.

In early 2016, Jody released his first, full length LP in nearly a decade entitled “KEEP BREATHING.” Since it’s release in February of 2016, the record has received rave reviews from publications like CCM, NRT, Homecoming Magazine and countless others. October of 2017 saw a lifelong dream of Jody’s come to fruition with the release of his first Christmas album entitled, “CHRISTMASTIME.” Something that McBrayer has dreamed of doing since he was a young boy. “CHRISTMASTIME” also received excellent reviews from just about every major Christian music publication as well as several mainstream.

In September of 2018, Jody announced that, in addition to Cana’s Voice and solo dates, he would be returning to the group where it all started, AVALON. The group will be releasing their first, full length recording since 2006, in the fall of 2019 and has already started touring on select dates throughout the year.

Jody has been respected and admired by vocalists and musicians worldwide for his vocal ability. However, over the last several years, he has become known even more so for his testimony and the real and unique way he is able to connect with people on a personal level.

Although Jody is originally from Florida – He now resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife of 20 years, Stephanie and their daughter, Sarah-Clayton.

In May of 2020, Jody felt the Lord leading him to become the Worship Pastor here at Ashland. His love for the church and worship is noticeable every Sunday!
